Finally, the search engine company is also offering an affordable, somewhat slimmed-down form of its Pixel flagship. In terms of price, the refurbed Google Pixel 3a is significantly cheaper than the refurbed Google Pixel 3.

Behind the scenes?

The refurbed Pixel 3a has a slightly weaker processor and graphics card than the Pixel 3: a Snapdragon 670. It is definitely one of the better chips, but the use of Google’s own features sometimes results in slower processing. (Of course, only in direct comparison to the premium model).

Graphics performance

With the Adreno 615, the graphics performance here is slightly slower than current smartphone GPUs in the premium class. The RAM amounts to 4 GB, which remains identical to the premium Pixel model. Overall, the feel is very nimble and the operation is intuitive and smooth.

Lens with an eye for detail?

There are almost no compromises when it comes to the camera, making it a top price-performance ratio. With this variant of the Google Pixel, you also get a very powerful 12.2 MP camera and the much-praised features of the Google Pixel camera are also included in the 3a. There is a Pixel Visual Core, that enables all the smart features such as night vision function an evening around the campfire and also the stunning portrait mode. The only cutback on the camera is that they’ve taken out the spectral/flicker sensor.

Design & Size

The design of this completely revamped smartphone is very similar to the previous model. The only difference is the back, which is made of plastic. The screen size of the standard model is 6 inches (OLED) with a resolution of 2220 x 1080 pixels.

Valuable feature

Top style from head to jack. That’s right: the refurbed Google Pixel 3a still has a jack for plugging in headphones. It might make you nostalgic, but it’s still super useful.
